Root Beer Glazed Ham

SDF Easy Root Beer Glaze

Servings: 8–10

Ingredients

  • 1 cup root beer (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup SDF Chipotle Ketchup
  • 1 tsp Fred Shake (seasoned salt)
  • 1/4 cup SDF Brown Sugar Mustard

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together all ingredients.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium.
  3. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reduces by half (about 15–20 minutes).
  4. Brush half of the glaze over the ham prior to baking.
  5. Brush the remaining glaze over the ham just as it comes out of the oven.

Pro tip: Use a good-quality craft root beer for the best flavor — the sweeter and more complex, the better the glaze!
