We took everything you love about a classic chili dog — the snap of a great frank, rich savory chili, tangy mustard — and turned it into a Sweet Diamond Chili Dog Casserole that feeds a crowd and tastes like a backyard cookout in every bite.
The secret weapons? Our Sweet Diamond Dogs, a homemade chili spiked with Smoking Chipotle Ketchup and Fred Shake Everyday Seasoning, and a generous drizzle of Sweet Diamond's Brown Sugar Mustard on top. This one is a keeper.

🌶️ Homemade Hot Dog Chili Sauce Recipe
The chili that makes this casserole sing — also incredible straight on a dog.
Ingredients
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp clove
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup Sweet Diamond Smoking Chipotle Ketchup
- ½ yellow onion, diced
- 1 tsp Fred Shake Everyday Seasoning
Instructions
- Brown the hamburger in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, clove, cocoa powder, and sugar.
- Add the Chipotle Ketchup and water. Stir to combine.
- Season with Fred Shake. Simmer on low for 15–20 minutes until thickened.
Build the Casserole
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Slice Sweet Diamond Dogs and layer them in a greased baking dish.
- Pour the homemade chili sauce generously over the top.
- Add your favorite toppings — shredded cheese, diced onion, jalapeños.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Finish with a drizzle of Sweet Diamond's Brown Sugar Mustard right before serving.
